Digital Marketing Agency
Sales Manager
Position Overview
A Hands-On Sales Leader
A digital marketing agency is seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to lead, coach, train, and develop our sales team. You will be responsible for a pod of up to 9 salespeople. This role is ideal for a hands-on sales leader who gets energy from helping salespeople improve their skills, build stronger pipelines, conduct better sales conversations, and consistently achieve their revenue goals.
The Sales Manager's primary responsibility is sales team performance and development. This person will establish a consistent coaching rhythm, reinforce our sales process, improve individual rep performance, and create a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
Because our client is a digital marketing agency serving businesses that want to grow, the Sales Manager must also ensure that the sales team can effectively communicate the value and business impact of digital marketing solutions—not simply sell marketing services.

- Build and maintain sales playbooks, scripts, talk tracks, objection-handling guides, discovery questions, and other sales tools.
- Train the team on the clients' services, value proposition, ideal customer profiles, competitive positioning, and client success stories.
- Develop a structured onboarding and ramp-up program for new salespeople.
- Reinforce training through repetition, role-play, call reviews, and coaching.
- Identify recurring team-wide skill gaps and develop training to address them.

- Ensure CRM information and sales activity are accurate and current.
- Identify stalled opportunities and coach reps on strategies to advance them.
- Improve sales cycle, conversion rates, win rates, and average client value.

What Makes This Role Different
The Sales Manager will use these metrics as coaching tools, not simply reporting tools. The objective is to identify where each salesperson is succeeding, where performance is breaking down, and what specific behaviors or skills need to change.
